Just got down to camp gonna try and do a few live hunts this weekend. It's colder than I expected down here tonight going to have to bundle up in the morning.

Well it was suposed to be a live hunt weekend, but it soon ended as I forgot my iPhone charger. The moon really had the hunting messed up this weekend anyway. Ended up with one doe, shot with a rifle saturday evening. The deer were up all night eating and no where to be found during the day. The only deer that were out running around during the light were yearlings. The doe I shot came in right at last light and she actually came in from behind me. Popped out of the woods about ten yards from my blind, and I had to wait for her to get a little farther away before I shot. Almost ran out of light, but I got a good shot off and she ran about 30-40 yds and expired. The best part of the hunt was being able to share it with my girlfriend, it would have been her deer but she was nervous about shooting in the fading light so I told her it was best not to risk it if she wasn't comfortable. All in all it was a good weekend, we had alot of fun and brought home some meat for the freezer. Sorry about the live hunt fail, next time I will get it right.Comment
