    Bipod

I am looking at getting a bipod for my savage 93r17. It has the three stud sling mounts which I'm pretty sure the front one is for a bipod but I'm not sure. I want one that's good but not really wanting to spend more than $50. I saw the blackhawk ones at academy today but was wondering what yall's experiences/preferences with bipods are.

Harris are about as good as they get but they are more than 50 bones!

I have never used another brand so nothing to compare it against.

What ever brand you decide to go with, take the nuts off that hold the legs on the mounting bracket and put some locktite on them. Have had them wiggle loose after time on both my Harris and a cheap one on my 22 that I got at Walmart.

Take a look at Shooter's Ridge bipods. They are pretty much identical to Harris at 1/2 the cost. Midwayusa sells them.
