My Great Grandpa, Abraham Jackson Weldon. He named my Grandfather Leo Polk Weldon in memory of General Leonidas Polk who was killed by a cannon ball north of Atlanta during the Civil War. Great Grandpa Weldon served with the 17th. Louisiana Regiment. Ft Polk is named after Leonidas Polk.

Later in life he had 17 children and was a Baptist Minister.
