    Ozone Machine Modified

After all the hype of whether the ozonics worked or not, I decided to try one of the "generic" machines from amazing1.com. I originally ordered one of the Ozone 30 units, but they were backordered a few weeks, so I decided to get the Ozone 100 unit instead.

I received the unit yesterday and with some help from Macoop I had the wiring ready for my 12v feeder battery. This morning I decided to camowrap it and build a "handle" for it so I can mount it above me in my blinds. I am headed out this evening for a test hunt, so I will update on its effectiveness tonight.

btw....it smells just like the Ozonics HR 150 unit while it is running.....

Ha - I bet you are going to tell me that the $400 I spent on my HR200 was $375 too much right?

Nope. I don't care who spends what. Its everyones own life to live. I'm just saying here's what I did with what my poor *** could afford.

        Looks good.
Can you spill the beans on how the wiring to 12V needs to be?

Where did you buy the Ozone 100?

The wiring was quite simple. All I did was splice between the plug and the converter box and determined pos and neg via voltmeter and tied in the clips. I purchased the unit from www.amazing1.com. Less than half the cost of the ozonics hr 200 model. We shall see if it works or if I took one for the team...

without me Googling it, what is this machine going to do? and you are going to use it in the deer blind or at the deer lease?

The complete unit costs $160. I was cheap and bought the kit saving myself $60. First of all, I am an aircraft electrician so I can read a wiring schematic. My kit came with a printed circuit board and a bag of resistors, caps, diodes, ...etc. That's also when I found out that I needed a bench power supply and an "O" scope in order to tune the power supply. ( I don’t have that laying around the garage) I was able to identify about half of the components by sight, not so much on the rest. There was a parts list but no identifying marks on the majority of the components. The tech support for the company (the owner) didn't want to answer any questions and pretty much told me to send it back as it appeared that I had no experience with electronics. This was 4 days after I asked my questions and I had already started on the project. End result was I did something wrong and the power supply didn't work and instead of building a new one, I just ordered the built power supply. I am now $175 in this project and I just need to finish the assembly this evening. If you combine the 2 sets of instructions together, you will have a complete set. My advice would be to buy the completed unit. Leave the kit alone.

at that cost I could install one in every one of my ground blinds vs owning two ozonics.

Just to be clear - The intent of my comment was that you probably found somthing that works as well and for much less. Should have added a to my statement for grinns! I can't wait to hear a report on how well it works. I'd like to have one my little girl can use when she is in a different stand than I'm in. The one you have setup looks good.,
