    seems like a long time

It's only been 2 months and a few days since the Bastrop fire. I was one of the many that lost everything in the fire. We were out having BBQ in Lockhart that Sunday and had no clue it was all happening. After about 2 weeks my wife noticed I was starting to get a little crazy with all the running arround finding cloths, food items and doing clean up and sifting thru the rubble and let me go buy a new bow since archery season was about to start. I went to Cabelas and got the Bear Strike RTH package and this bow has been great. I've been replacing items little by little and was actually able to get a doe 2 weeks ago.
Between having a great wife and kids, getting a new rig, hunting camp with my best friends and just being out in the woods we are all on the road to recovery.

Say a prayer for the fire fighters, Police and all the people that gave their time to help us out - I do every day.

this is truly a great post. I applaud you for your attitude and your fighting spirit. Please keep posting your progress to give others hope.

I can not imagine what you and thousands of others are going through but I love a great post about looking forward to the future.

May God continue to bless you and your family as well as all your neighbors and the responders that helped.

I tell ya what, if you would PM me or post up what you may need i will gladly donate what I can and maybe I can pay it forward. If you do not need anything then post up what the less fortunate may need and i will see what i can do.

As a matter of fact I am heading to Austin Friday and can drop it buy on my way or at least buy you lunch.

            Good luck

My best friends mom lost everything too. My buddy drove up there in a car he just bought and left it at her house while the road up to Dallas in her car. They got a phone call from a neighbor to let them know everything had been lost. We got together with all the friends and donated what we could.
