I recently had the chance to take two bobcats with my bow. This is really my first season to hunt and Ive taken these two and a doe so far and I am hooked. There is a long story behind the bobcat kills but the two walked in together, shot lead (mama) first, little one just sat down and shot it too. Little one fit in the bottom of a feedsack so prob about 16" long and a foot tall. Lengthy search and eventually retrieved both of them. i am going to get them mounted together and was looking for help. So far thinking about having mama carrying a dove, no quail in Lee County, and the little one in front of it trying to pull wing from its mouth. Next idea was same thing but instead of dove, use a copperhead or other snake. Last idea i had was having little one looking at a snake, prob rattlesnake, with its nails and teeth showing. Then have mama jumping in from the backside of snake like she is coming to protect it. Any other ideas would be appreciated. I would rather not have them mounted with mama and little one fighting each other.

What about the mother stretched out with something in paw and the baby strectched out from the other side reaching up also but just short of the bird. One cat on each side of the bird. I would go with quail anyway just because they look better than dove.
Another thought is to have them walking together and enclose them in a glass table.

My friend in College Station specializes in predator mounts - and bobcats at that. He used to be a professional trapper and knows bobcats. His name is Dana Lampmon, 979-776-6053. Leave a message and tell him Tracey sent you.
He can give you some great ideas and a great price. Here's my coyote that he did:
He's mounted to look like he is sniffing the air. In one of the pictures you can see his nose slightly turned up.

First, congrats on killing two bobcats..... and in your first year of bowhunting! Many many bowhunters I know have been hunting for many many years and are looking for their first cat.
I really like your idea about moma having a bird and the little guy pulling at it. Most likely the small cat will have to be a custom form so you might save some cash by working with a catalog pose for moma.
Looking forward to the finished piece.
