    Who's eaten caribou?

Ok here's the deal. Jamie and I went caribou hunting last year and shot 3 between us. For the last year I've been eating nothing but caribou and I'm tired of it, actually beyond tired of it. I have about 25 1.5 lb packages of ground caribou mixed with beef fat left and just a couple of steaks I'm willing to part with. I will either give this away free or if you want you can make a very small donation to huntofalifetime.org or just take a kid hunting. I do not want any money for it what so ever just want it out of my freezer but would like one of the 2 last options happen so some good comes out of it. I know many on here haven't gone caribou hunting or may never so I'd like to spread this out to a hand full of people if at all possible. Maybe between 6-12 people.
Disclaimer: caribou seems to be a gamey tasting meat much like gamey venison. Similar to an older buck yet a little different. It's not gross just after a year I'm tired of it and thought some on here might like to try it.
Let me know if you want any and we can get it worked out so the transfer isn't a hassle.

I have had it and agree it is more gamey than a lot of other wild meat. Hopefully someone will step up with a donation!

A donation is by no means necessary just thought it would be good to either tie it to that or taking a kid hunting.

Guide cooked us some on open fire right off the animal with foil salt and pepper, it was awesome. When I got home it all tasted like liver! Pretty sure it was not processed right, packages were full of blood.

Never had it but would like to. Caribou is high on my list of animals that I want to hunt. If you can get it to Georgetown or Austin, I would take it. If not no big deal. Thanks for the offer!
