    My first buck's...Wyoming Trip!

So this story starts with my earlier post to TBH about where to hunt in Texas. I took the advise given to me and tried Fort Hood. I found a place with no one around..hard to do on Hood as found out...and placed a stand, ground blind and trail camera. After a week of pictures and 3 hunting trips i went out on the morning of the 14th to find my Tree stand, blind and camera gone. So I decided on my way home, I was going to go to my home town of Cody Wyoming and hunt there. I called my Father in-law and Uncle and let them know I was leaving tuesday morning. On Friday the 21st of October I went to Gillette, WY and did some Antelope hunting. Around 1:30 in the afternoon I found a buck and a doe feeding along a little creek and made my move. Two shots and 10 seconds later I had the buck down at 275 yards and the doe at 325 running.

Then on the way back from Gillette I had my Father in-law drop me off with my Uncle and I did some deer hunting with my new Hoyt. At 9:30 in the morning I had this little 10 point come by at 15 yards.

So in less then 24 hours I had 3 animals down and was able to harvest my first buck with a bow. Now some of you will look at this deer and say two things, he young and had potental...you should have let him go, and that he is really an 8 point. I got two things to say to these...for a public land white tail in northern Wyoming he's not bad, second I count those want to be points. The stick out enough to look like one, I'm counting them. HA HA HA Hope you enjoy, I had a blast back home!

Congrats!!!! Sorry to hear of the theft of your gear. Seems that how Ft. Hood hunting is set up, they/you should be able to narrow down the suspects.
As far as your Wyo hunt, fantastic!!!! Sounds like you had an absolute blast and that is what it's all about. Your bucks and the doe look great. You did well!!!!! You smile says it all!!!!! May you have many more happy, fun filled hunts!!!!!
