    Whodathunkit Aoudad Video

Well, I am not sure if I like this video or not. I really had to cut it down to get it under 1 gig. The original video is over 2gigs and about 15 minutes long with a lot more footage of the animals coming in and shot prep.

I would like opinions on whether or not people like to see the stand recap, tracking footage, and recovery recap or if this is just boring and not entertaining.

Be brutal with your critique and tell me what you like and don't like. I really want to get better at this.

the tracking footage was a little slow for me, and the comentary after the shot went a bit long and doubled up on checking the tape for placement of the shot.

Otherwise 10 times better than I could do and congrats on a very nice ram.

      cool ram...congrats

I am not as big on the tracking, recap the job but don't waste video time, I am all for showing as many animals coming and going as possible and as much of the shot as you can...the recap at the end was fine for me, the inset video of the animals were cool, just needed to be bigger, but really neat idea , i may try to use it...

      overall great job...

First off.....AWESOME video....Thanks for putting the time in to make it, put it all together, and post it!

The only thing I would suggest is maybe put in more shot prep (picking up your bow, ranging the animal, drawing, all that good stuff). I like seeing that type of stuff in the video, but thats just me. Commentary could have been a little shorter, but I enjoyed it and thought the video was well made.

Congrats on the aoudad!!!!! Great shootin' and nice bow

Great video. It doesn't get slow for me as your excitement is manifested the entire duration of the video.

Good work. It isn't easy videoing a hunt by oneself.

I would only add to balance out the commentary and footage of the animals pre shot versus post shot.

Thanks for the comments and keep them coming.

I had a choice to make.... I had to cut video to get the size under 1gig and I cut animal footage to keep the recaps. That is what I am not sure I like, so I appreciate the comments.

Then long version is much better, but way to big to post.

Great shot on a great animal!
The Video is OK but it has all of the elements that would make it great.
Try starting out with the stand placement adjacent to the feeder and why. Obviously the tree foliage conceals you well and this needs to be pointed out.
You probably already knew the yardage from the initial set-up so we wouldn’t have to see you operate a range finder. Again this is a good thing to point out.

The shot segment is cool but you’re shooting from an elevated blind and it would be neat to see where you were holding your pin. A great shot but could be very much instructional. Again, a great shot.
I didn’t get all of the whispering stuff because you turn right around and show us a perfect shot. But, you were whispering after the shot? I thought it ate up a lot of time.

When following the blood trail you stayed to the left of the actual trail. Great! Again point this out as important if you were to suddenly lose the trail and have to back track. Instructional!

In this video I saw the answers to the same questions that keep showing up every year on TBH. Too many videos are slam dunk kill shots but it took a heck of a lot of work to get to the few seconds to make it pay off. You’re no rookie so show us why!
