Vortex problem...is it me or the binos?

    Vortex guys....anyone have this issue:

I seem to have run out of diopter adjustment on my Vortex Diamondbacks.

When I follow the instructions to set the diapter on the right barrel I run out of adjustment. I cannot get a perfectly clear picture in both barrels....

My eyesight doesn't seem to have changed and the bino's used to adjust perfectly. Has anyone else had this issue?

I had the same problem. I had dropped them, and something inside (some kind of rod, don't remember exactly what they called it) was broken.

I sent them in and had them rebuilt. They had them back in my hands in something less than 10 days.

Just got mine back from them with the same problem. I've never dropped them.

Don't have any of their binos, but I had a scope that did this. Strange deal actually. I had one of their low line scopes break, exchanged it for a Viper and the Viper, right out fo the box, adjusted fine once, then quit moving. Called them up and they sent me a new Viper the same day, along with a shipping lable to return the bad one once I recieved the new one.

Yea, I want to see if they will let me upgrade to viper as well. This sounds like a Vortex issue.

They will let you upgrade usually. I won't say exactly what kind of deal I got, but I will say that it was a GREAT deal. I traded in their bottom of the line scope (although not bottom of the bottom line, it was higher in that Crossfire lineup, but same build quality as the 3-9X40 Crossfire) and got a top of the Viper line scope with 30mm tube and 50mm objective, for basically peanuts compared to the retail price difference between the two scopes.

I had read they love to push the upgrade instead of fixing your original optic.

They didn't push anything on me. In fact, they originally were going to repair my original, but I requested the upgrade.

They've never pushed me for an upgrade. There are times that I have asked for it, and they have always accommodated me.

That is not true. Vortex will do whatever it takes to make you happy. If you want to upgrade they will work with you that way. If the item can be repaired they will repair it. If the item needs to be replaced they will replace it.

Had the same problem and vortex readjusted diopler for me. My binos were dropped though. And probably ran over by something.lol. Flip them over and see if it's the same for the other eye!
