How about another question for all you pool owners, if you buy a home with an existing pool, what is the average monthly cost for upkeep, electricity, and water bills?Maybe buying new home next year and just curious if a pool would be on our must list.

28000 gallons = about $500 total per year chemicals and electricity. That does not include having to replace equipment ect.

A friend if mine has a set up like that, without the stone and out door kitchen and restroom and it pushed 100k. She had just a covered area around the back door.

Another one has a pool just like the one posted and it was 70k.

I built pools for 12 yrs. Just for the pool, you are looking at about $ 65,000 give or take.

My brother put one in similar, but he did it himself (ie, he was the general contractor on it) and I think his cost him around 30-35K. Back in HS, I built swimming pools in the summer, everything from 18K up to 288K depending on size and features, but that was 10 years ago.

I would say between chemicals, electricity, water, and maintnence we probably spend around $750-$1000/yr - Of course I say this while looking at a $1000 bill for some pool repair work we had to have done this week

that looks like a $60,000 swimming pool without the flagstone and extras added in

buget $60.00 a sq. foot for the pool with a 15~20% variance
This really close! I work for custom Home builder and do these things from time to time.

I`ve had 2 pools built at 2 different homes. Great for awhile but what a money pit. Plus, the constant maintence. Like I said, nice for a while.
                                Good luck on your pool.
