I have a question for the AC repair guys

Blower wheel on my indoor unit was about to come apart, started making lots of noise
I have a replacement wheel but I am having a problem getting the wheel off of the shaft. How do you guys get them off?

I tried some penetrating oil and putting some heat on the collar on the wheel but it is not budging

There's no tricks. It's very hard To do without damaging the wheel. Penetrating oil and heat are the only tricks I know of. May try cutting the shaft and punching it out through a piece of wood with a hole drilled in it that will support the wheel.

Gotta be carefull not to ruin the shaft on the motor, which u may find after all your hard work is bad as well. Bearings in the motor could be bad. But I used some rust away stuff that worked well and hold the shaft with wrench and work it off.

It would be your Moter going bad right? Need to check the bears in your moter to see if you have any wable to it. Good Luck

Here kinda like this one. Thats what I use. Sometimes you can get lucky and it might come off easy with sanding cloth and some oil.

Pretty sure the motor is good but the wheel is seperating in the middle

              Team me thanks

I have it setting out with some penetrating oil soaking on it, if it does not let up by tomorrow afternoon I am taking the tin snips to the wheel so I can at least get it out of the housing where I can get to it better
