Archery gear is considered recreational equipment by the TSA, subject to the same regulations as golf clubs or fishing rods. Not subject to any of the regulations for firearms.
The only problem I ever had was when a counter person for Continental Airlines in Baltimore asked me to remove my bow from the case and demonstrate that is was unloaded. Huh???
