    Who hunts near Comstock?

This will be my 2nd year hunting my mother-in-law's ranch which up to last year, was strictly leased with not even family allowed to hunt. This year we have the entire back section with 3 feeders and blinds set up for rifle hunting.

What are my chances of throwing a popup blind out close to one of the feeders and the deer actually getting used to it in a weekend? Its just too far for me to drive out there more than once or twice a year so I'm not really able to set up.

Also, we have whitetails, javis, coons and quail but that is it. People keep asking about mule deer but to my knowledge, one has never been taken on this ranch. We don't even have hogs. There is water pumped all over the ranch to old cattle troughs. I'd like to know what other ranches around there are seeing. About 15 minutes north of Comstock.

That is cool. If I saw a big cat out there I don't think I'd shoot it. They are just too cool.
My FIL put a trail cam out 3 weeks ago but has not been out to check it. I'm hoping we'll see some good things.

I hunt just north of you on the Devils River. You should be OK with a pop-up if you brush it in real good. Mule deer not so much but you should have Aoudad and some of those feral goats. Good luck to you.
