Anybody stayed at the Valencia in San Antonio?

Ive been researching for a couple weeks on a nice place to stay with the wife on the riverwalk and the Valencia looks pretty cool. Just wondering if any TBH folks have stayed there. If so, what were your thoughts on your stay?

I haven't stayed there but my boss has and I have eaten there. It is a very nice place, just a little too trendy for SA for my taste. I felt like they were trying too hard to be hip, but could be just the ticket for your wife. La Mansion Del Rio is cool and historical but the rooms are on the small side. They also just built an Embassy Suites on the river that is the nicest E. Suites I have ever seen.

Stayed there several times, very nice and we have always had a great time there.

Yes,Very nice .They have a club up in the bar area that the locals go too.Nice very ,very nice scenery

Thanks for the input. I have it narrowed down to the Marriott River center or the Valencia. Im trying to figure out which one is close to some attractions, pubs, bars or restaurants and such. Maybe they both are. I have no clue.

Yes. It's very sleek, dark, and modern... It has a very romantic feel and a great restaurant for breakfast. There is a good Mexican food joint down stairs that serves phenomenal ceviche. The rooms are really nice as well! We enjoy this hotel and usually stay here at least once a year!
