So far the biggest change besides the wt loss is I am not groggy in the mornings. I've been waking up spry and ready to rock!

I took a shot of a potent antioxident juice once a day for about a year (haven't re-ordered) but for the life of me I am drawing a blank! I have the boxes in my office so I will get the name of it in the morning. Good stuff also.

Johnny- Bonedigger and I are doing a 10 day juice fast. That is no solid food. We just finished up day 4. The plan is based on the program in the documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and the info on www.jointhereboot.com. Watch the movie and fire up that juicer bro!

Wife and I watched F.S. & N.D. a few days ago, and are thinking of trying it...albeit slowly, like replacing one meal a day at first.
Couple of questions:
Should I be replacing the highest calorie meal (which for me would probably be dinner) or just do juice at breakfast?
Those that have done the 10 day fast, did y'all have any of the moodiness and headaches like Joe described? How long did that last?
Also please share what types of juicers, extractors, emulsifiers, etc y'all are using and if they're the one you would recommend.
Thanks!

Quack,
I think it would be a very good idea to do exactly what you are thinking of. For the first week go MOSTLY juice but with one real meal per day. Then after a week of that go to all juice for 10 days. If it were me, I would do juice for breakfast and dinner and solid food for lunch. The reason is that juice is best if you drink it immediately after you make it. So, for me it's easy to make juice in the morning and evening while I am at home.
I did have some headaches around day 2, but just a dull headache, nothing bad. I was very hungry after days 1 and 2 then it got a little better each day.
Be careful of Kale. It tastes, ummm, well, different. Also go light on the ginger. A little goes a long way. Don't be afraid to experiment with recipes. Try more fruit in the morning, then about 80/20 veggies to fruit for lunch and dinner. Add some tobasco or lemon for a different taste.
I bought a Breville juicer similar to the one on the movie. I got mine from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It was $149 but I had a 20% off coupon so it came out to $119 plus tax. I am very happy with it. It has two speeds and is very easy to clean.
I think John has a Jack LeLain from Costco that he paid $80 for and seems to like it.
Let us know what you decide.

I set out on a mission to find a juicer this morning and found the Brevilles and a Cuisinart at Macy's. I was going to get the Breville juice fountain plus but once I got to looking at the Cuisinart I found that it was 1000w vs 700w, had a 3 year warranty vs 1yr, 5 speeds vs 2 and everything else was basically the same - stainless, 3" feeder etc... all for the same price. They are "on sale" at Macy's but I found the same prices on line..just saved shipping, the wait and can take it right back to the store if something goes wrong within the next 6 months.
Stopped by the grocery store and loaded up on juicer ammo and will start replacing breakfast with juice tomorrow. I will also replace a few dinners with it during the week. I may start a 10 day detox in January, the timing will be perfect with work/life.
I am 50lbs down since July by working out every day (no weekends) and grilling everything that isn't a salad. This should compliment my diet just right.
I will report in on what tastes good etc...
