What % of bucks are 8's, 10's 12's??

Seems I have read or heard that only 10% of the bucks are 10's and 1% are 12's. That makes a pure 7X7 1 in a Mil.
Anyone have any data that would give the facts?

I remember reading that a typical 12 is 1 in every 10,000 deer..

I would think it depended on how the ranch was managed. Some ranches will many less 8's than 10's and some ranches will have many more.....it's all in management.....

In one of Dr. Lenard Lee Rue's books he stated that most whitetail bucks are genetically predisposed to be 8 pts. Selective hunting, I believe, has altered that somewhat. And aren't we all glad!
