I know some are going to take offense to this comment. I often see the folks that can't afford it are the ones who disagree are don't think it would be enjoyable. For all of you who have the money to go out and do it, enjoy and share all your stories and pics. I would be wiling to bet that the " I am only a meat hunter" crowd wouldn't turn down an all expenses paid trip to Africa to hunt a trophy elephant.

While this might seem to be a well rounded agruement, it doesn't hold water.
I might not like Dodges but if someone gave me one I would take it.
I will not spend $ on anything that says Bone Collector on it because that item is usually more because you are paying for the name. Would I turn it down if it was offered to me free of charge? NO!!
I promise you that if someone offered me a free trip to Africa I would go. I don't think I would still care about killing a giraffe.
And no offense taken on your opinion.

I kill tons of stuff i dont eat and have never even see Africa. I shot three hogs Thursday and left em for the buzzards. Now My freezer is full and I have given pork to everyone I know that will take it but those hogs had to go. I also put out a fly trap yesterday and killed a couple flies at camp. Didnt eat those either. Does that bother you?
Im all for any and all legal hunting. Love seeing pics of those exotic trophies that I will likely never get the opportunity to hunt also!

Personally I hope the thread stays. It has a lot of good information in it....
Twztid there is no problem in being uniformed. The problem starts when you have already formed your opinion, and let your opinion be known before you were informed.....The way you "asked" your question implied that you were against it and hence the responses that you received.

You talking hunting Africa or me bc I didnt' answer your question the way you wanted it? This is no different than the HF v LF drama that hangs out on this site.
I was talking in questions. since I never have been I cant talk with fact. that is why it is nice to have a board like this with such broad people who can answer questions that some of us others may not know as freinds...
Just as I am sure there is something I could tell you that you dont know...
I still would like to shoot the animal I posted earlier. still dont know what it is (havent searched)... just looks really cool, and I bet it tastes good!
