    Yet another iPhone ??

I've tried doing the newest update on my iPhone. But, my laptop is saying it cannot backup because there is not enough available memory. I've never had this issue before. I don't know the specs of the computer off hand but is this something that can be fixed with additional ram or is a bigger hard drive needed?

I've already got the new iTunes. I'm having the problem when I plug my phone in to install the software on the phone. It's saying lack of memory to backup the phone files.

I have been trying to update my wifes phone. It is doing the same thing. Says her phone doesn't have enough memory.

when i updated my wifes phone it got a similar error. she was almost out of room on her iphone, so there wasnt enough room for the new ios. i removed a couple movies that she didnt need any more and it went through fine. if it is your laptop that is out of space, you'll need to make room there because it makes a backup before it updates the ios.

It is the laptop. But my question is. To add more memory for it can I add ram or do I need a new hard drive?

you need to clear some junk off of there.

I promise you have stuff on there that you don't need.

Mine said it did not have enought hard drive space. Found out that my computer's hard drive was partitioned into a C:/ and D:/ drive. Took and cleared some space on the c drive, cause I couldn't find in the itunes where you could choose the backup drive location.
