Duck hunt that is. I have been deer hunting and with the action being....well none, thought I would try a little duck hunting.
Went to a pond that I havent been to in a few years. I killed my very 1st duck (mallard drake) when I was 16 off this pond.
Made some calls lastnight and had a couple of buddies ready to go.
One never showed up Other buddy showed up but remembered he forgot to buy his duck stamp
Set out 5 decoys and before I could get back to the shore we had birds on the water.
LOts of birds. had to wait a while after legal due to the cloud cover and loosing the birds in the back ground trees.
Ended with 2 mallards and 3 gaddys. Got everthing picked up and was back at the truck at 7:04.
Man it was great. Oh and the buddy without a stamp was sitting under a tree 15 yards from me watching and doing alot of cussing.
