Who's heading down to the Chaparral WMA in Dec.

I was wondering who from TBH was going to the archery draw hunt at the Chaparral WMA in Dec. I was thinking about heading down for a chance on a standby hunt. Just wondering who all might be heading that direction. I went on a standby 2 yrs ago during the monsoon hunt, as I like to call it. Seemed like it rained nearly the entire time. Also does anyone know if they are allowing hunters to bring in corn? I know that it was discussed heavily in the past just wondering if it was allowed now.

I'd call the wildlife biologist before you head over there, they can let you know how many standby spots they anticipate. Seems like last year someone said chap had no standby spots for any of their draw hunts.

I got drawn this year after putting in for 9 years. I went on standby last year and got drawn. There was I believe only 2 or 3 standby spots open last year. Don't know about corn nothing on my form that said you could bring it. I shot a 126 class, 7 years ago when on standby. Should be pretty good it is later this year.

Last year it was on the weekend and this year it is Monday through Friday. No deer were shot last year. I saw a 7 point just under guidelines.
