    Justice finally!

So a while ago I posted about some pitbulls in my neighborhood that got out of peoples yard daily and attacked my moms dogs when she took them on a bike ride. my moms dogs were tied to her trike and unable to fight back, and one dog had some deep bites and had to go to the vet for shots, and stitches. (2 blue heelers and a walker is what my parents have)

Anyway. I went to the peoples house banged on door. was ready for confrontation. man of the house was not home. Gave the mom and daughter an ear full. mom was about crying and said husband wont do anything. I said well I guess a man needs to talk to him.

I told her If I have to come back down here because your dogs bite a person it will not be a good visit. (whether its my son/wife/mom other neighbor etc).

WELL, my wife went for a walk yesterday (daily walk) with son in stroller and our 3 dogs. the two pits were out again! they came after my family, but some strays were closer, and the pits went after them. I guess grabbing one dog by the neck and ripping and shaking it either near or to death. Wife and our dogs took off home and called 311...

this is the 8th or 9th time we have called on this situation with these people.

WELL, finally animal control came out and witnessed these dogs loose causing trouble, and impounded them. then went to the peoples house and took there other two dogs (not pits). this morning they returned the other two dogs to the family but kept the pits (I guess decided the other dogs where safe). the family got 6 citations and are expected to appear in court. if they miss there court date someone will expect jail time...

very very happy about that situation being taken care of. can feel a bit better now when I am at work knowing my family is out on a walk. When my wife called me yesterday I thought I needed to leave work, and grab my shotgun. (she was a bit distressed)...

    but handled it well!!!

This is when a small 380 with a laser sight comes in handy. Just ask Rick Perry.

Irresponseable owners is almost always the problem. Everyone can hate the breed but it is how you raise them. They need alot more obedience than other breeds sometimes. Glad they did something about your problem. I have several pits and my dogs mind as good as most kids do. But there is alot of hands on with mine. I get tired of the news always showing when a pit bites somebody. They are not even in the top 3 dogs for most bites. They just have a harder bite. But most of the time look at the owners on tv when they show the case. It will explain everything.

Why are you already tryin to defend them? Nobody has even said anything against pit bulls ....yet... And I'm sorry to say but the breed def has something to do with it.

you dont have to preach to me brother.

I am not against pits at all... I am the first one to say its all about the owner.

my wolf hybrid was food aggressive on top of other things when we got her. owners were idiots. she was a young dog though, and I knew I could turn her around. Now my soon to be 3 year old can go take food out of her bowl while she is eating and she will stop and sit and wait till he is done. Same thing with bones. None of my dogs are aggresive UNLESS someone or something comes at us aggressive first... period... I tolerate NOTHING of the sort from them. they know it.

Duke I think is part pit/chow amongst other things. This is not a pit bashing thread.

the dogs just happened to be pits and the owner happened to be an idiot...
