I got a Transformer about 2 weeks ago. I was against getting one for the longest time thinking they were useless but got offered one at a price I couldn't refuse. I love mine now.
Checking emails and surfing is all I use mine for.
If you get it for the right reasons then they are great. They are great for surfing the web on the couch, reading an electronic book, or taking notes on but they are not a replacement for a computer. We tested a few Windows based tablets at work and I was hoping to run Wireshark on one for network testing but it was just too clunky to work with. One of my guys has an Asus he uses for notes and loves it.

Do you know what app he's using for notes? I've been looking but can't find one.
I have Asus transformer and love it. I do alot of presentations for clients and it has replaced my laptop for that purpose when I travel. Went with Asus due to better MS compatability.
I have an Acer Iconia Tab A500 and have been quite happy with it. Not as slim as some of the others, but with a full sized USB port and micro SD slot it has been very handy. I take notes on Evernote.
I talked to my guy this afternoon and he said he is using the note app that came with the tablet. He really likes the tablet. It has a remote desktop capability so he can log in to his workstation or our server out in the field which is nice. We looked at an HP Slate 500 to do this but it was just too clunky for what we needed. He tells me that he is very happy with his Transformer.
I have the Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet...love it so far! I bought the active stylus & keyboard folio and use it as a digital notebook and compact replacement for my laptop.
