    Arctic Cat Prowler?

Are Arctic Cat Prowler UTVs any good? I have an opportunity to buy one at a very good price with very low hours.

Seems like I have read of some transmission issues on these, but mostly after people rigged them with larger tires and treated them poorly.

Anyway, I would appreciate any advice.

BTW, the Ranger got sold out from under me that I was looking at .

I also have a line on a like new Mule 610XC camo that I am considering, but the AC is actually cheaper with the same number of miles on it.

Check to make sure the seals are not leaking. Front and rear. They leak a lot. What year is it

      2008 650XT

Has under 40 hours on it. Camo. Asking $6000.

      Thoughts?

Its up to you, not a steal of a deal. Its a older carb engine. You dont have to worry about the newer tuffsaver rear ends. only problem i had on mine is I broke both differentials. But I play in the mud with mine.

Have the VIN ran before you buy.

Dont know much about their ATVs but as a kid we had their snowmobiles when i lived up north and they were great sleds. I think the only one that was better was the 78 model John Deer snowmobile. Artic Cat usually makes quality equipment.

My dad has one and loves it. BUT he doesn't do any off roading or mudding in it. He just rides around his property and uses it to haul deer and firewood. With that said he paid a lot more than 6k when he bought it brand new.

They are a land vehicle with wheels. Not a SUBMARINE!

                          Shank 'em!

Any other specific issues with the AC Prowler other than leaking seals?
