    Interesting site in Lampasas

Ok, it took me a week to post this but, I sat in my tree satnd for the first time this season last Sunday. I had a really interesting morning. No deer at all but, I heard some rustling coming from behind and under my stand, in the dry creek bed.

I looked down and meandering by was something I have never seen in the wild before, a ring tailed cat. It was making its way along the creek and disappeared. About 20 minutes later, two blue jays hanging out at the feeder got super ****** and ran the cat back down the creek towards me.

A buddy that hunts with me here near Adamsville swears that he saw one a few years ago too.

If they were not called "cats", I don't think I would have come up with it as a description.

They are cool. We catch quite a few in our coon traps. They get a free pass.

We have a couple that hang out here at the house. Last year there was a momma and three babies living under the porch. Cool to watch.
