Shot a huge buck, but need help

Just getting back in the truck after grabbing some lunch in lampasas...

Court and I were pretty unprepared to go tracking this weekend, but we had the dogs, so decided to give it a shot. Got to the lease and met the hunter about noon and headed out to look for the deer. Luna got on the deer trail quick, but I had to go back to the truck to take care of Reagan, so that left court in the woods without cell service and no water, so she headed back to the feeder to wait for me to come back.

I brought Reagan back with me so she and court could hang out while I took Luna to look for the deer. The trail started out pretty light, just a speck here and there, then turned into a good trail about two hundred yards into the track. I started thinking we had a dead deer on our hands, so we took a little break for some water then got back on the trail.....
