    Hump on a boars back?

I've noticed a hump on some of the boars backs at my place and in trail cam pics and videos at other places. It's a hump or knot about the size of a golf ball, sometimes bigger, and it's near the rear on the back. Over the back hams.
I've been told a few different things that this is. Does anyone here know exactly what it is??

When they get aggressive or threatened their hair stands up on their back. In the pic he is most likely asking his buddy to move over or else.

IDK maybe some form of parasite like a bot fly on cows.
Never heard of any kind of gland on a feral hog like javelinas have

Thats the handle so when you slip up behind him and drop his feet into your knee high boots he cant get away Thats what an Arky man told me anyway, I just took his word.

It's just hair Cuz. We've got plenty like that around here. We thought it was a mass at first, but after killing a couple like that, we found out it is just hair.

Lay one down and go CSI on him then give a report. Do you see it on Boars only ?

i have seen the same on alot of the big boars around my lease the all have the longer tails and longer snouts my guess is that they have more of the true russian boar in them
