    Combination Sequence on Browning Safe?

I have an older model Browning Pro Steel gun safe that I used to just close and turn the dial to 10. To open, all I had to do was turn it back to 0.

Well, my curious son spunn the dial a few times so now it's locked. I have the combination, but I forget the sequence.

Do I turn it to the right first or left, past the first number the first time then to it?

    Little help?

On my Browning you go left 4 revolutions to the first number, 3 revs right, 2revs left and then 1 rev right to the final number.

This would be easy if i was in front of my safe! I'm pretty sure it's counter-clockwise past the number a couple of times then stop on it, clockwise past 0 twice to the second #, counterclockwise past 0 once to the last number, clockwise back til it locks open. I think that's right!

I have a Remington but you can try this too. Probably same mfg. for the lock/dial.

4 turns left (CCwise) to on the 4th turn left stopping at ##

Turn dial right (Cwise) stopping at ## the 3rd time the number aligns

Turn dial to left (CCwise) stopping on ## the 2nd time the number aligns.

Turn the dial to the Right until it stops at ##. You will feel resistance a "0" but continue turning until the dial stops.

I have a key lock for the dial. I keep it dialed so all I have to do is unlock (key) and spin to last ## to open.

        Good Luck

So much for "quick reply" and slow typing, huh?

I have to leave for PA on Sun. for ducks, geese, pheasants, quail and chukar...so I was getting a little nervous.
