    Question about a lease.

I have a friend that has 100 acres about 20 miles northwest of Jarrell. She is asking what is a reasonable price for a hunting lease. She said it can be a year round lease for dove, turkey, deer and hog. It does not have any creeks or tanks. It does have water and electric hook ups for and rv. The owners do live onsite but have a small 3 acre fenced area. She said her husband does not hunt and they purchased the place about 17 years ago. If anybody could give me a idea on what she should charge please do so.

That should support two hunters. Depending on terrain and vegatation, I've seen $10-12per acre.

I'd say that on the low end $1,000 for the place, and on the high end $2,000-2500.

I'd pay up to 2500 but I'd want it to myself.

                      Site unseen

Your friend will need to look at the cost of the lease permit. And I'm not sure if she would need liability insurance, but it might be a good idea to look into that cost as well.

Not trying to drive up the cost, but both parties, her and the new lease folks, would need to start off on the right foot.

I wouldn't mind putting in with someone to split the cost.
