Public Hunt - in the AM

What time are you trying to be set up by, if you are going to hunt public?

Early, gotta beat the crowds if you dont want to walk in too far.

On public land, the further you can walk in, the better...

If you're walking in with a climber and don't have anything set up, I'd give myself at least 2 1/2 hours from the time you leave the truck...

Agreed everyone wants to be just inside the woods, the farther you hike the better.

Another thing about being further in the woods... when the weekend warriors show up clanking around at day break walking into the woods, walking past those just inside the woods, you'll never know it.

Yea, I know. For duck hunting, its about 4am. Trying to figure out if its the same for deer.
