Next time it's iced down, pull the drain plug then try to open the lid. If the lid won't open, the seal is good.

Seal may not be sealing good...

I'm going to replace mine with all neoprene seals sometime soon.

Since you don't like it I'll give you 200 for it

Agree. Check the seal. As long as its sealing good, I've seen my water/ice. Mix at 33-34 degrees. Worse case call Reagan at Yeti.

I have kept a thermometer in there since I got the cooler and it's a constant 48. That's when it's sitting in the rack when it's stuck in the ice it's 32-34

I personally am tired of yeti threads on this site. They are a high quality Texas company, their niche is that they are strong solid built coolers. I like them, have 2, but I can't say that they keep ice any longer....how many times do we have to do this?? If you use a cooler every day or have the cash to buy one for occasional use, buy one. Unless some pos thief in POC steals it you will truly have a lifetime cooer.

I threw 3 two litre bottles filled with water an frozen in my 50 qt 6 yearold, beaten..broken handled igloo cooler with 5 ten pound bags of ice.(bags not opened.. laid on top of water/ice tea bottles.)
Cooler used multiple times during the day..left out where sun hit it directly for hours, for 3days and 2nights.
Opened cooler one hour ago.. I have about 4.25 bags of ice.. little water in bottom.. and 3 bottles of still frozen water (one does have a little melting occurring but for the most part..bottle is still frozen.)

I contribute the performance to the frozen bottles of water..not really the cooler.. it just did what it wad meant to do..insulate.

So sorry if I offended you. Just stating the review on a high priced well built lifetime cooler that doesn't hold ice as well as I thought it should

If it bothers you so bad why do you even respond?

I didn't realize me saying I was "tired of" meant I was upset? I dont feel upset... I was just stating my opinion and I have owned yeti's for a long time. I'm just saying if you don't have the cash....don't buy one. They are solid and will last but they don't really keep ice an longer....you are doing experiments now I did 5 years ago, have fun and continue to talk big on the green screen, I'll leave you be....
