Can someone help me out with this question? Yes, I've googled and searched the outdoor manual and can't find it.

been done on here plenty of times if you want to research it. there is NO min. UNLESS h.o.a. or a judge has written law saying no to it in an area.

Depends on the lands location...If its in the county then its game on you can kill em in your yard if you want to. As long as your not close to any homes. Only thing you would have to worry about is:

          P.C. 22.05 Deadly Conduct

          (a) A person commits an offense if he recklessly engages in conduct that places another in imminent danger of serious bodily injury.

          (b) A person commits an offense if he knowingly discharges a firearm at or in the direction of:

          (1) one or more individuals; or

          (2) a habitation, building, or vehicle and is reckless as to whether the habitation, building, or vehicle is occupied.

          (c) Recklessness and danger are presumed if the actor knowingly pointed a firearm at or in the direction of another whether or not the actor believed the firearm to be loaded.

          (d) For purposes of this section, "building," "habitation," and "vehicle" have the meanings assigned those terms by Section 30.01.

          (e) An offense under Subsection (a) is a Class A misdemeanor. An offense under Subsection (b) is a felony of the third degree.

Why I said as long as your not to close to anyones residence. If your slinging arrows then shouldn't be a problem.

You're probably confused with a county ordinance that prohibits discharge of firearms on less than 10 acres of land. Bow hunting game on unless, local municipality such as city or hoa has restrictions against it. No state minimum.

I have a few lots at hilltop lakes. They range from 1/4 acre to 1/2 acre. It's all perfectly legal and target rich. I do wish I could hunt 6k acre ranches but I'm not made of money.

Check your county website. Where I hunt the county minimum is 10 acres

you can always call your local game warden before hand. and tell him it is with a bow only. and you do not plan on using any guns if he is cool with it go for it.
