        Hi,
I'm new here and mostly read, but I had to throw in my 2 cents on this one. Have you thought about getting a few chickens. I believe you can possibly fix your problem without a shock collar, don't get me wrong I own a shock collar. Let the dog get around the chickens and if the dog shows interest make sure the dog remembers the experience. Like mentioned above, I do not believe in "time-outs"... If you and your neighbor are on good terms, do some training at his house after all that's where the problem is. Good luck...

First thing I would do is find the neighbor missing a chicken, apologize profusely, pay to replace the chicken, and ask them to please call anytime they see my dog on their property instead of shooting it and I would handle it. Next thing I would do is confine my dog at any time I am not physically watching it and able to correct bad behavior.
