I Haven't Been Able To Get Back Up To Our Place Since Opening Weekend, The Last Time I Was There The Deer Still Weren't Coming To The Corn All That Great,but Did See Deer. And They Should Signs Of Pre Rut.

So Lets Get Update On Whats Goin? Hopefully This Up Coming Weekend Should Make For Some Good Hunting.

I live here in Burnet Cnty. I would say that this weekend will probably be the best weekend thus far for hunting. Its gonna be cold!!!! There are still a ton of acorns on the ground though. Right now we are on the tale side of the rut. Still seeing some chasing though. Where at do you hunt?

I went to our place in Llano this past weekend. Even though one of my feeders had not been working all season, the deer still found the hand thrown corn pretty fast and hit it good. We did not see much rutting action other than 1 spike pushing a doe pretty good. We did see several bucks but did not manage to come home with any.
I was very surprised of the lack of deer we saw at night when we drove from the land into Llano and back. Good luck.
