Well, I decided against taking a pig that wasn't mature. Ya know, let the young ones walk and all. .

J/K, after the kid next door quit riding the pigs came out later, just at dark. I put the cross hairs on a spotted pig I've been wanting for a couple of weeks, pulled the trigger, and experienced my first ever misfire with this gun. The percussion cap went off but the charge failed to ignite! The pigs ran off and I just sat there thinking WTH? I guess I didn't keep my powder dry.
I put another cap on and shot at a nearby pine tree and blasted a big ol hole in it. ???
Time to get back to bow hunting!

Run a pick down the flash hole. Do you pop a couple of caps on the nipple before you load to make sure that the flash hole is clear and the bore is dry?

Yes! I've been doing ML hunting for years. I believe it was a problem with my powder horn. (from last year!)
