    Scent free?!?!

Ive never been much on the scent free thing. I'm all about camouflage and wind. Ive killed many of my big deer while smoking in the stand But...I'm going all out this year with the scent free stuff. I did all the washing and bagging of the clothes. Bathed and sprayed down. My question is, I carry a big back pack while hunting. What do you guys do with that? Do you just spray it down before you hit the field or do you keep it bagged up in a scent free bag also and then only take it out when you go to the field?

Guns don't kill people...Dads with good looking daughters do!

After watching my buddy who runs our bow only lease, I went all the way and washed my back pack in no-scent and put it in a plastic bag with my new muck boots. Everything comes out when I get to the parking spot and change clothes, socks, undergarments, ect. Spray down bow and head to the stand.

You can't cheat the wind on an old monarch with a few seasons under his belt with any sort of pressure on him at all. I think the stuff helps to an extent, but if you are hunting a mature deer then you better be downwind with a great entrance/exit route. Other than that, you have about 4-5 days to kill him during the rut!

When I got "religious" about my scent control routine I had shot opportunities at literally 10 times as many deer the next year......guess I may have really stunk!
