Hunting this weekend in Brown County...how do you think the first bright moon of the young season will effect feeding patterns during this horrible drought...weather should be nice in the mornings with lows around 50 degrees....

I've had good success with deer moving during the day the 3 days prior to and immediately after a full moon. Just my observations.
Seem to be most active at moon rise, when the moon is directly overhead/underfoot and as the moon sets.
Best case scenario is if the moon rises just before sunset and goes down just at sunrise

If I get a kitchen pass, I'm going early Friday whether they'll be there or not. I really, REALLY like cool weather and will go just to sit in the cool and watch the woods come alive. That, and I have not been able to get a patternable deer at my place during the day yet...mostly nocturnal, with a few daytime pics, but no pattern. So, I'm gonna go enjoy wearing my fleece and maybe get some coons in the early light.

I have a bunch of deer but all are feeding at night, at 10p and 2a. Some big porkers too. Four game cams spread out over three miles and only one daytime sighting, a spike that needs to be culled.
Hopefully the hunting will get better when the moon phases out, either way I am headed to the woods to enjoy some peace and quiet with my bow!
