Went to the lease this weekend and had plenty of hunting in mind( I got skunked last year and that is NOT going to happen this year!). Well, hello rain! It started saturday and didn't stop till sunday morning. Now I aint complaining and Lord only knows we need it bad, but this weekend!......Really?!( Goodbye Saturday hunt
) Then sunday my buddies "two hour stand project" turned into an ALL day event. Good bye to more lost hunting oppurtunities. Well, we decide we need to go to San Angelo to pick up some supplies and we're goin down the back roads watching the deer and other critters that have come out in the evening cool to play when we look up in front of us and what do we see running away from us in the middle of the road......La Chupacabra! At first I cant believe my eyes 
but there it was not 20 yards in front of the truck. It turned off the road and was trying to get thru the fence which put it not 15 feet from us. That's one ugly critter! We made it to San Angelo 2 minutes after they closed(literally 2 minutes, thank you lady with the great customer service who met us at the door)
I did get to hunt the next morning and had nothing ,except a jake, come in. So , all in all.....Rain
(which we badly needed), fill'n feeders and build'n stands, a little huntin, kick'n up a little mud in the Bronco, and let's not forget.... La Chupacabra....... Not a bad weekend at all.
