Trout Advice - Galveston

I'm taking a bass fishing buddy of mine to the bay on Monday - weather permitting. I'm planning on hitting upper Trinity around Jack's pocket. We are going to put in at Thompsons, and run it, hitting some reefs & rigs along the way. Can anyone out there give me any advice or updates? I don't have to go to Trinity, just thought it might be on this time of year.
