VHC is nitorious for being a swamp ground, and the season just started. The deer have snorkels so they can suck the corn off the bottom. Hehehe! Duck decoys not a bad option but rubber boots would be my first choice. Enjoy the rain...

Friday morning I had a small shower come through my set up shortly after sunrise, all te deer that were there looked up at the sky then fled for their lives. I think they have forgotten what rain is. Maybe a couple days of this and it'll refresh their memory.

Yep, almost 5" so far and more to come. I'm only 2 miles from the lease so I expect it got as much. I was thinking of hunting this evening but think I will wait until tomorrow since the wind will be better for my setup.
