    Summit Climber Help Quick

I noticed this yesterday and didn't get around to posting. My climber chair is making a horrible noise anytime I move. It's a squeaking sound. Anyone have a quick fix for in the field and what's a permanent fix for when I get home?

Hmm I have 3 and setting in one now but haven't ever had it squeak. Is it the belt part of the seat

Yes sir I have 3 as well and love them. I believe so, maybe the belt rubbing the metal?

I know this is a 1st for me too. It's the exact same noise as when you 1st sit down but it does it every time I move. I think tonight I'll wrap all the metal with electrical tape but that ain't helping me this morning lol.

Lol I hear ya.I'll keep an eye on this and if the tape cures it I'll be prepared if it happens to me. I will add that a friend had a weld crack on the top section of his summit. Might inspect that too just in case

I don't guess I'm following you bud... I have the bungee cord hooked back into itself to keep the seat back up but nothing is tied.

Spit on the squeaky spot. Spit fixes stuff!

I read on another forum that the paint in the grippers is what is squeaking. So if you knock the paint off that area it might help. Also the kind of tree you climb make a difference too!
