Eastern Kansas Live Hunt 10-09

Alright boys. We are going to give this a go again. Already I have logged 40 hrs. on stand since 09/19/11. Very little movement, as the neighbors did not plant any corn this year, only soybeans. The beans are not too far from being harvested, and with the no acorns, the movement has been slow.

Going to be sitting on a ridgeline this morning, hoping to catch one moving through on the way to the bedding area.
Days are getting shorter and the weather is starting to change. Leaves on the trees are changing and fall and winter are not too far off.

Starting to see more rubs, and it should not be too long before the boys start staking out their areas...
This mornings weather is cool, low 60s, with a light east wind. Full moon is right around the corner and there should be some movement this morning...
Hang tight and I will update as soon as I get on stand. Pulling out from the house in about 15 min. to go pick up Travis and will keep you updated as I can..

Man I love this time of year in a Kansas Tree with my Destroyer in hand.. This new Destroyer 350 is ready to take out it first one this year.. Good Lord willing, today will be the day..

On stand and very little wind. Crittters are moving all in the leaves this mornind, I can hear them running around. Got about 20 min before light so I am going to sit tight.

Daylight is here with a light ENE breeze. Wishing it would be colder but I am in the woods
Starting slow again but going to sit until at least 10.

Thought it would have been better than it has. Only 1 so far and that was before daylight (could not see pins). Got another hour and a half.
