    Platte river nebraska !!! Help!!

I just got back from an archery hunt in Wyoming and tagged a small pronghorn buck. Next year I was thinking about maybe trying Nebraska. I have always wanted to hunt the river breaks of the platte river were it connects to the cut corn fields. I think you can even choose between a mule deer or a whitetail with the tag you get in Nebraska?? ( not sure about that )

Can anyone help me with certain areas or certain outfitters or websites that might help me get some information????

Has anyone had any success in Nebraska???

OUr ranch isnt far from there and you can shoot either a muley or a whitetail. What exactly are you looking for?

I was trying to find a decent priced archery hunt for whitetail or muley. Score is not a huge deal to me more of the experience , scenery, lodging, food etc....I wouldnt mind bringing home a nice deer as well. do you guys do any hunts or do any of your neighbors up that way do any hunts?

out in western Nebraska its a pretty tough crowd to break into as far as getting permission to hunt now that our area is now a MDCA (Mule Deer Conservation Area). Crazy thing is you can drive the 6.2 miles to town and count 100 head of Muleys. We dont offer any hunts its basically family only now that your only allowed one deer.

What I might suggest is if your planning a summer vacation is you could go up that way and start asking around at the local coffee club in the mornings every small town has one. Check the CO-OPs and the VFW and american legions halls would be a really good place to start. Explain to the farmer/rancher what you want and if you see something broke you'll try tell him about it or try to get it fixed. A lot of the older retired farmers move to town and the kids still farm and ranch. All the places around us are leased to out of staters and pheasant hunters. Another option is to Look up what county you want to hunt and log into that county and see who owns what so you have an idea of who you might be looking for if you decide to go up there.

          Hope this helps.
