I just made it in from the game and am very disappointed. Aggies played a crisp and clean ball game and the blocked kick turned out to really make a big difference in the game. Also, it seemed the Ags are more willing to go for it on 4th down on the road than our current coach at home. I was happy to see the Raiders compete with a good team as many have picked them very low in the conference.
Cheers!

Getting points on the board might have been a good strategy when you were coaching in a league that had low scoring games. In the Big 12 you have to put serious points up. Can't do that with field goals. Grow a pair and go for it.

I just keep laughing about our game this morning...as my Oklahoma side of the family continues to bombard me with texts. Gotta love it.
Come on Rangers......a game one win would be HUGE!!!!!Last edited by Burntorange Bowhunter; 10-08-2011, 10:06 PM.

I LOVED watching the ags fall down injured and walk off the field. Good way to interrupt the pace.
However, the Tech Defense couldn't stop the offense and when Zou let the ball go it cost the field position 30 yards. Then we run it up the gut on 1st down? Second time this season that's happened and I didn't like it...then on 4th down and a quarter yard we punt with 9 mins left in the game...argh! I'd rather gamble to win than play good football to lose gracefully.
If only I could gamble I'd have won the game as tech covered the spread. So maybe I should bask in that fact???

I'm with you on the ball Zou let go and the idiotic play calling that followed. Both were potential game changers.
Don't ever bet on Tech..........ever.............doesn't matter if it's for or against.......never ever.

I'm not sure how many people really understand what the style of play ttu, OSU, etc leads to. There is a reason ur games have more injuries and it seems like people are faking other injuries. Fatigue causes cramping and injuries and when u run 80 plus plays a game you're going to see both... ALOT. Wait til y'all play OSU and then we will start debating the is it faking argument? And the so called cheap shot on stephens was bad news and I wish the best for him and the road to recovery. However when ur on the field with a loud atmosphere u don't always hear the whistle and that's what it seemed like to me was he was stumbling and for some reason thought he had made the catch. I can guarantee u he feels bad about it today. And the manure on the buses isn't harmless fun, some writing on a bus maybe but if I came to ur job and just because I didn't like you I spread manure inside ur truck u would think the same. It makes the buses unusable until it is cleaned and this isn't the first time tech fans have showed their class or lack thereof. Not all tech fans are like this and most on this thread are real straight shooters so no offense to u guys. Tech really did play a good game and if they bring the same attitude through big XII play they should surprise a few people. I hated the 4th and 1 qb sneak but at least he went for it this time. I think a&m has got to improve their inside lb situation, they were the ones getting burned all night. Our db's played better but we have got to start forcing turnovers or we are not going to come out on top of some of these closer games. Last hear that was our key to success and this year we haven't been able to because our lb's are not taking underneath routes and check downs away so the opposing qb's don't have to take chances downfield in traffic. Oh well it was a decent win and hopefully we improve before next week because Baylor isn't coming into college station expecting to lose.
