man the weather got so bad an hour and a half ago I had to come home

Deer came in right before the rain started and a doe was almost in his shooting lane when the rain started and they left. Once the rain quit the deer slowly made their way back. A doe finally presented a shot at about 13 yards and he hit the ground right below her. I think he was experiencing buck fever. So we got out and went back to the house for some practice shots and he was drilling bullseyes. We will hit it again in the morning. He will get a deer this season one way or the other. He has already killed two deer with the crossbow with perfect shots so I know he can do it.
