    Spraypaint??

So my buddy an I are building a blind and were planning to go to lowes to buy spray paint and spray foam, after driving 15 minutes out there, gathering all the things we needed, we went up tothe checkout stand, and they scanned all of our items. They then asked me for an I.D., I asked for what and she said that we had to be 18 to buy spray paint and spray foam. Of course we are only 16 so we now have to go through the trouble of going home and getting my friends mom to come with us there. Lost about an hour of work cause of that stupid thing, almost ruined my day.

Does anybody know any specific reasons that you have to be 18 to buy spray paint??

just my opinion, why not use oil based paint?? spray paint will let water into wood as the oil base will repel water, yes it would take longer to paint, but you would do it once every five to 10 years vs every other year, and you can buy it with no id

you'd be better off using a brush on exterior paint anyway.....spraypaint has very little protective qualities.

Go to the oops rack for the bad mixes and get it for 25% of what you would normally pay.

I paid $12 and $25 for two 5 gallon buckets of quality exterior paint (Both were $85+ retail). I've got enough deer blind paint to last for years..

Not to mention it is going to take alot of spray cans to paint it. Would be cheaper to use the brushes.
