I did not care for G. Gilbert the player, but wish him nothing but the best.

A smaller stage may help him regain his confidence.

Hopefully he finds a program that works for him. He's a good kid, just didn't fit at Texas, especially with this new offense.

Sam Houston State might be a destination.

I don't think he would have to sit out a year at Sam.

Josh McCown (from SMU) and Rhett Bomar (from Oklahoma) each transferred to Sam and went on to play in the NFL.

Gilbert is going to need to improve a LOT before he's thinking about the NFL, IMO.

i dont know if he would go to TCU. they have a young QB that seems pretty good. i think that would be jumping from 1 bad situation to another.

I think everyone predicted this was going to happen as soon as he decided to get shoulder surgery. I wish him nothing but good fortunes where ever he goes.
