i could not tell where i hit her but the hair was brown, she hopped about four times and stood still for a second then i lost sight of her [ it was 7;25] to dark for me to tell where she went

Did the arrow stink? Sounds like a gut shot to me.

could've shot her in the dreaded 'void' if she crouched...had that happen to me a couple of years ago and I had trail cam pics of that same doe weeks later and she was healing up just fine

If you can't see enough to know a general idea of where you hit, and could not see where she went.................. it was to dark to take the shot.

go back out and re-search the area for blood. Get a dog out there. If those two fail to produce a carcass, then grid off the area and look some more. Sounds like she was pretty stunned, she likely bedded down nearby in cover and bled out.

It happens and as much as we hate to admit it, it is a downside to bowhunting. I lost my 1st deer, and at the age of 16 it was really hard to swallow. I almost quit bowhunting, but my dad urged me to stick with it, and i'm glad i did.

shot placement is critical. Shot selection even more so.
