need help with hogs.

so everytime we go out to our ranch we look at the game gams, always pics of hogs, from weeks ago and the night before. so we set our traps and head back to the front of the ranch. BUT every time we are there, they NEVER come.. it is so frustrating! any ideas/tips?!?

If your traps are the small cage style, you are wasting time. The cattle panel style are the way to go! TPWD and other sites have good models on how to build and they are cheaper than the others.

Make a corral(sp) trap around and tie the door open for a week or so and untie it and you got your self some pigs

If you do it hawg slayer style better bring a shot gun with lots of ammo. And a good skinning knife. Man you can put a dent in the population like that.

we use traps that about 3 feet high by 5 to 6 feet long. ive been trying to convince my uncle to start using corral traps but he isnt ready to start that.. ive been trying for a year now. i build stuff with my friend and i think that will be our next project. anyone have any ideas or tips on mixes or feed that hogs love??

If your there to kill deer use feed pens, set up a couple feeders with no pens and have fun killin pigs

Good luck. Someone posted a video of trapping a bunch of hogs in a corral pen. It looked like the way to get of some piggies and put a lot of bacon in the freezer. KAP

Good luck they have been giving us a fit in our grain fields we even sprayed peper that's supist to burn there eyes worked for a day. Some other farmers got a chopper to fly they killed120 of them but couldn't tell much of a difference. All I gotta say is kill them anyway you can and never stop because they have 2 litters a year and a piglet sow can have little ones after like 6 months.
