I've killed a lot of animals without them and certainly practice without

but I also own one and use it every single chance I get.

I never leave home without it. Gives me confidence and alot of bow hunting is mental!

I bought the Bushnell with ARC at Wal-Mart for $180. Very pleased with it so far, and they had the best price.

For me, for bowhunting, a necessity. I use them to range to reference points before I get settled in to the stand.

for me hunting without a range finder is like hunting without my release.

              !!!!!!!!!!! NOW READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
i bought the 100$ Halo range finder. it lasted one season. now it does not work or gives false readings like my 20 yard bag target is 756 yards away. i emalied the manufacturer and got NO response.

i then bought a second hand bushnell off the green screen for 75$. works great and no regrets.

Don't need one when you shoot instinctive.

                  Have to have!!!!!

Get one that uses degree angles to tell you exactly what pin to use regardless of angle!!

Also If you rifle hunt they are the difference between a decent shot and a great shot!

I have the 1000 yard arc from bushnell and use it all year... At the range, in the backyard, settin up new spots, prairie dog hunting.... The list goes on and on!

they are not vital to success( I hunted for 25 years with out one) but it is nice to have it.
But I only use it before the animals come out to range trees, brush and things like that.
